Only you can save our future
Right now, at this point in time in the United States, we have access to some incredible things. Food and goods from around the world. The internet and its breadth of knowledge. Relatively clean water. Relatively clean air.
But those things aren’t guaranteed. Because right now, democracy is imperiled. And with it: economic stability, international diplomacy, the environment. Basic human rights.
It may feel hopeless. It may feel like there’s nothing we can do. That it’s too late. But that’s because they have you. The peddlers of frightening despair have you right where they want you.
But they don’t. Not yet.
Did you know that 62 percent of Americans support taking more action to address climate change? That 75 percent of Americans support strengthening Social Security? Or that 85 percent of us support abortion in either all or certain circumstances?
Clearly, we can win on these issues — but only if we turnout to vote.
Our fathers went through a lot so that we could vote. Our mothers went through a lot.
It’s not about us versus them anymore. It’s only about us. All of us.
I’m calling all Gen X’ers. Millennials. Gen Z. Boomers who gave up a long time ago.
Every election is important.
This election is important.
Use your voice. Use your vote. Save our future.
